Northeast Classic Car Museum 2023 Car Raffle
OFFICIAL RULES – NO PURCHASE OR DONATION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR DONATION DOES NOT IMPROVE ONE’S CHANCES OF WINNING. The Northeast Classic Car Museum 2023 Car Raffle (“Raffle”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia, age eighteen (18) or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and members of their immediate families and households of Northeast Classic Car Museum, Inc. (“Sponsor” or “Museum” or “NECCM”) are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Northeast Classic Car Museum, Inc. is an educational corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York, chartered by the Education Department. TIMING: Raffle begins at 10:00 am on February 22, 2023 and ends at 11:00 am on September 28, 2023. All times are Eastern Time or “ET.” Sponsor is timekeeper for tracking receipt of entries. HOW TO ENTER: Donations are not tax-deductible contributions. One (1) ticket equals one (1) entry into the Raffle. Donation per ticket: $5.00 per ticket; five (5) tickets for $20.00; fifteen (15) tickets for $50.00; thirty-five (35) tickets for $100.00; two hundred (200) tickets for $500.00. It is not necessary for an entrant to retain a ticket stub to claim a prize. Entrants wishing to have a ticket stub(s) returned via mail must add $2.00 to cover mailing materials and postage. a.) MAIL: Mail your name, address, phone and email address (optional) along with payment in the form of a check, money order or major credit card information to Northeast Classic Car Museum, 24 Rexford St, Norwich, NY 13815, to be postmarked by 9/28/23 and received by 10/5/23. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Northeast Classic Car Museum. b.) ONLINE: Complete and submit the online entry form as instructed found at www.classiccarmuseum.org (“Raffle Website”) by 11:00 am on 9/28/23. c.) PHONE: Call the Museum at 607-334-2886 no later than 11:00 am on 9/28/23. If entrant chooses to enter via mobile phone, standard message and data rates may apply; entrant should contact his or her wireless provider for pricing plan details. d.) EVENTS: Complete the Official Raffle Ticket as instructed and submit it to the Museum staff along with payment in the form of cash, check, money order or major credit card during the hours Museum is open through 11:00 am on 9/28/23. e.) IN PERSON: Complete the Official Raffle Ticket as instructed and submit it to the Museum admission staff along with payment in the form of cash, check, money order or major credit card during the hours the Museum is open through 11:00 am on 9/28/23. f.) FREE ENTRY: On paper to match an official Raffle ticket (3 1/2” x 2 3/4” 67 lb. Springhill Vellum Bristol Cover Digital paper stock in Goldenrod paper color), hand write your name, mailing address, phone and email address (optional), and mail to: Northeast Classic Car Museum Dept SE, 24 Rexford St, Norwich, NY 13815, to be postmarked by 9/28/23 and received by 10/5/23. Limit of one (1) entry per envelope per household per day. ALL ENTRIES: If entrant’s donation payment is dishonored by the bank or credit card company, the entry will be declared invalid unless full payment is made in good funds no later than 11:00 am on 9/28/23. Any attempt by any participant to submit more than the stated number of entries by using multiple or different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. PRIZE and Approximate Retail Value (or “ARV”): One (1) 1967 Mustang Convertible ($40,000.00 ARV). Any expenses not mentioned above are the winner’s responsibility. Winner is responsible for all state and local taxes, license, title, and registration fees. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. No substitution for prize except as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event that the specific prize advertised is damaged or destroyed before it is awarded to the winner, the winner will be awarded a substitute cash prize of $5,000.00. Prize supplier/manufacturer is not affiliated with the sponsorship, endorsement, administration or responsibility for this Raffle. Sponsor specifically disclaims all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, regarding prize. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Prize is guaranteed to be awarded. WINNER will be selected in a random drawing under the Sponsor’s supervision at 9:30 am on 10/11/23. The decisions of the Sponsor regarding all matters relating to the Raffle are final. Potential winner will be notified via phone, e-mail or mail and required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) that must be returned within fourteen (14) days of the date and time of notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. The winner will be required to furnish his or her social security number that will be used only for the purpose of reporting the winner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. If more than one name is indicated on winning entry, prize will be awarded to the first name listed. Prize must be picked up from the Museum within thirty (30) days after winner’s completed Affidavit is received and winner is acknowledged by Sponsor to be the certified winner. Prize acceptance constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s name and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. GENERAL: Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Entrants, by participating in this Raffle, hereby waive and release, and agree to hold harmless the Sponsor, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause of anything whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or inability to use a prize in the Raffle, or their participation in the Raffle, or their participation in any Raffle or prize related activity, or any travel related to the Raffle, or any travel for any prize related activity. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due entries or Internet technical, hardware, software, telephone, or transmission failures of any kind, which may limit a person’s ability to enter the Raffle. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the Raffle. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend advertising the Raffle on the Internet should a computer virus, unauthorized intervention or other cause corrupt the integrity or proper conduct of the Raffle. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or modify the Raffle or online portion thereof, if, at any time, Sponsor’s online service is no longer available or compromised by any virus, bug, or other intervention beyond Sponsor’s control. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be disrupting the operation of the Raffle or the Raffle Website. If the integrity of the Internet portion of the Raffle is compromised in any manner, Sponsor reserves the right to modify Raffle and randomly select a winner from valid entries received that are unaffected by the problem. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any online entrant, entrant will be deemed the individual named first on the online entry. All submissions become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. All issues and questions concerning these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Raffle, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of New York State, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of New York State or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than New York State.
